New Field Day Date is: June 9, 2010

I hope everyone is having a great day.  I was wanting to know if anyone would be able to volunteer May 26 June 9th between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for the field day?  This would include supervising a station like tug of war, balloon toss, relays, volleyball, etc.  Please let me know if you can.

Spring 2010 in the Larchmont Education Garden

Do you want to get involved?

Fridays starting at 2:00 until around 4:00. There will be tasks and activities appropriate for adults and children.  We will be planting soon, and digging in the dirt! Lots of fun!!!!

Additionally, we have Saturday workdays scheduled for March 20th, May 22nd, and June 12th. These workdays will  have opportunities for working on Mrs. Baucom’s Marsh Watch Restoration along with garden work.

If you want to work in the garden, but can’t make these times, please let Candace Mason know.  The garden is for everyone to enjoy, and there are always things to be done! Plus, there are areas to still develop if your group would like to “adopt a spot.”

And most importantly, classroom teachers might be able to use volunteers to help them when they bring their classes out to the garden – ask your child’s teacher about  how she uses the garden and if you can help with it in any way.  We want the garden to be a resource for the teachers to use!!!
